With Dua Lipa holding the number 1 spot for a second week in the UK charts, Mabel joining Harry Styles on his arenas-tour, Stefflon Don jumping on Halsey’s remix of Alone (along with Big Sean), and Raye announcing a headline show in London at the end of May, it seems like British young stars are making quite an impact in today’s music landscape, and you may know another member of this British girl gang: Anne-Marie.
Just two days ago she has released her long-awaited debut album Speak Your Mind, which contains the famous singles Alarm and Ciao Adios, and the collaborations Friends (Marshmello) and Rockabye (Clean Bandit).
Celebrations are in place for such a good pop album, and Anne-Marie had a busy weekend sharing this happy moment with her fans.
Private listening party on Thursday night, release-day press on Friday, album signing at HMV in Oxford Street on Saturday afternoon, and an epic performance Saturday night at Heaven.
The show at Heaven wasn’t a proper concert but only a nightclub appearance where she performed her 4 most famous singles.
I have seen many artists playing at Heaven, both headline shows and club performances (DNCE, Louisa Johnson, Pixie Lott, Melanie Martinez, Billie Eilish, etc.), but I have to admit that the crowd really went wild for Anne-Marie last night making the performance really special for her.
Too bad she performed just a few songs. I guess I’ll have to go to her concert to have a live experience of Speak Your Mind. Check the album below:
